Sanitation is Dignity Riots Quietly
thequietriot.com reported on our campaign.
The blog showcases designs, which are innovative, useful and enable the users to understand products, services or - like in our case - messages, which are strongly connected to energy efficiency, the use of renewable resources and every other sustainable solution, which helps to protect our environment. We thank "The Quiet Riot" for featuring us. It’s great feedback to know that we fit their criteria for design and sustainability. check it out: www.thequietriot.com

Voices for Sanitation
We can only improve what we are willing to discuss. Therefore it is time that more people break the silence around sanitation.
In the past, few celebrities and politicians were willing to commit to the topic. As a result, the world wide sanitation crisis has received little publicity.   To maintain the momentum of the International Year of Sanitation and to repeatedly break the silence in 2009, we’ve created “Voices for Sanitation”. You too can set an example and make a statement for sanitation. Please become part of the campaign! We want to encourage people to set a good example and demonstrate that they are not afraid to talk toilets, or indeed to have their photo taken next to one.  We are therefore looking for people who are willing to commit themselves to the sanitation cause! We hope that this will help to break the ice – and perhaps more politicians will be proud to have their picture taken next to a newly built toilet.   help us make a difference, see the “you do” section. Anyone can become part of the campaign by making a statement.

Sanitation Comics in the Making
The “my school loo” school contest is set to launch at the end of March 2009.
One of our main goals is to develop communication means that will speak to children of various ages in different regions of the world.   After trying out several options, we feel that a series of comic strips are the way to go. We hope to strike a tone, which will encourage not only the comics’ use in school, but will have such appeal that students will want to show off the comics to their family and friends.   We are currently seeking partners that are interested in trying the comics out in their school to test their effectiveness and to provide us with feedback so that we can improve them. Please contact us!

Putting the Finishing Touches to the Website
Welcome to 2009 – or as we like to call it – “International Year of Sanitation + 1” (IYS+1).
2008 was a good first step in raising the profile of toilets. Now it is time to carry the momentum into 2009 and further increase our efforts. That’s why we have chosen the coming new year as the launch date for this website. We hope that you like what you see. The site intends not only to inform you about the importance of sanitation, but more importantly, we want to win you as a supporter to help us spread the word and make a difference. We are currently putting the finishing touches to the “get involved” section. Please check back in the coming weeks to see what fun and easy to carry out activities you can do to help the cause. Please join the movement and become a “toileteer”.
