19 November 2009 // Local Activist: German Toilet Organization (GTO)
100 pupils being active against the sanitary emergency worldwide and therefore demonstrate infront of the Brandenburger Tor in the political heart of Germany? Yes, all made possible by the GTO. For the World Toilet Day 2009 the GTO had been working with five schools to carry out the „Klobalisierte Welt” ("Toiletised World") project. Part of it had been pre-inspections of the school-toilets, followed by a day-long workshop and by ongoing presentations by the pupils up until World Toilet Day on November 19th, 2009, when the schools had come together to do a joint public presentation and the demonstration in Berlin.
”Klobalisierte Welt“ (“Toiletised World”) is a school project that the GTO runs in Berlin. The project’s main purpose is to get pupils (13 to 16 years old) to think about the importance of good cooperation in order to successfully realise projects, and in particular the importance of engaging all stakeholders early on in the process. Within this framework, the pupils work to address sanitation problems in their own school, and in doing so learn about the importance of basic sanitation as well as developing their collaborative and presentational skills. Throughout the project the schools are supported by the GTO in the form of expertise, teaching materials and contacts.

This a great news that GTO has organized such a great program for the children. We should educate them in that a way, they understand and do for their good in the future which they implement.
Thank you

As we say “Morning shows the Day”, same thing for the children. Small school children should have the knowledge of the sanitation and hygiene, which help them to be a better citizen of the nation. i personally really appreciate this program.
Thank you
