In September of 2009 Kinderhilfe Sambia, in collaboration with the GTO, literally took their toilet pots and headed to Potsdam. Well the name did kind of ask for it! As part of the Africa Day Festival the “Where Would You Hide?” exhibition took up shop in Potsdam’s central mall.  This provided the perfect location to catch the attention of busy shoppers flowing through the mall. And with the help of our small army of able volunteers we were very successful in distracting people from their pressing shopping concerns and bringing the issue of toilets to life.

Not only did the exhibition make a splash in this busy and commercial environment, but the Africa Day Festival also provided a great opportunity to hook-up with more than 20 other NGOs that were also present.
